Posted on October 8, 2022January 1, 2023 By Ivo Lubina

Brightly shining star beside to the moon is most likely the planet, by color you can determine which one. The hottest candidates by earth’s position in the solar system are:

the planets in the night sky shine with a bright steady light, the light of the stars flickers slightly.

  • Jupiter brighest king of the solar system and night sky, Jupiter is decorated with many different colored bands, depending on the flow of its atmosphere. Jupiter boasts brick red, yellow, beige and brown.
  • Saturn appears yellow from the earth. This color is caused by the layer of clouds from which sunlight reflects. But on closer inspection, as Cassini has shown, Saturn is blue due to the scattering of molecular hydrogen.
  • Venus appears dirty white or beige.
  • Mars, the planet’s symbol, is red. The predominant red hue is due to the amount of iron oxide on the planet’s surface. The color of various surfaces on Mars can be not only red, but yellowish in some places, brownish in others, and white at the poles due to the presence of dry ice

It can be more accurately determined by using a star chart. All you have to do is point your mobile camera lens in the direction you want to explore. The screen will show you the names of the planets, stars and constellations. For Android phones, we recommend the Sky map app from the Google store. For iPhone, the Night Sky app
